This overview summarizes the Alaska SRC requirements document below. Contact the SRC early to confirm your eligibility and which matches qualify under current U.S. Soccer requirements.
01 · ELIGIBILITY
Hold a current U.S. Soccer Grassroots Referee license in good standing, meet current registration and eligibility requirements, and complete the required Regional Referee coursework through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.
02 · MATCH EXPERIENCE
Document 40 qualifying Adult Amateur matches in the candidate game log. Ask the Alaska SRC before counting a match if you are unsure whether the competition qualifies. Youth matches require SRC approval to count.
03 · EVALUATIONS
Complete three evaluations as Referee, normally on Adult Amateur matches or above. One may be on a highest-level U18/U19 match with two 45-minute halves. Request evaluations through the Alaska SRC.
Pay the evaluating Referee Coach your referee game pay or $100, whichever is less, for each evaluation.
04 · FITNESS
The first two evaluations may be completed before passing the fitness test. Pass the current U.S. Soccer Regional Referee Fitness Test before requesting the third and final evaluation.
Submit your game log, fitness-test verification, confirmation of all three evaluations, coursework verification and any additional requested documents to the Alaska SRC. The SRC reviews the completed requirements before recommending qualified candidates to U.S. Soccer for the Regional Referee license.
