The Alaska State Referee Committee is committed to providing fair, transparent, and development-focused referee assignments throughout the state. Assignments are made based on a variety of factors, including certification level, performance, experience, availability, and the specific needs of each competition.
Our goal is to place officials in matches that support their growth while ensuring the highest standard of officiating for players, coaches, and leagues across Alaska. Officials will receive assignment details, competition requirements, and any tournament-specific instructions needed to be successful both on and off the field.
Assignment Process
Referee selections are based on a combination of experience, demonstrated performance, commitment to development, and observations from referee coaches, mentors, and assignors. Our goal is to recognize officials who consistently perform at a high level while creating opportunities for referees to continue advancing within the game.
Logistics & Travel
For regional and national events, the Alaska State Referee Committee can assist officials with travel planning and logistics. When funding is available, stipends may be provided to help offset travel-related expenses. Opportunities and available support vary by event and are communicated directly to selected officials.
